Our experience of working with large steel fabrications also extends to the highly specialised field of bridge fabrication and refurbishment, and we regularly undertake projects ranging from the design, manufacture and erection of small footbridges, to the structural repair and complete refurbishment of very large bridge structures.

Our specialist engineers and bridgework teams are thoroughly conversant with the rigorous standards required for this type of project, and of working with the full range of necessary temporary works, including self propelled gantries, hoists, access platforms and jacking equipment.

We are expert at working in confined areas, where the removal of toxic fumes and materials such as lead may be a problem, and we operate full-service hygiene monitoring and COSHH assessment procedures through our specialist hygiene consultants.

We have considerable experience of working on a wide range of bridge types including fixed, swing, bascule counterbalanced and rail mounted extending bridges, such as the example on the left, which we manufactured and installed at Dundee harbour, and our work is fully supported by our own design team, mobile plant and fabrication facilities.
